The Mall Road Mussoorie

Located at the heart of Mussoorie City, The Mall road is famous for Picturesque Viewpoints providing amazing views of the Doon Valley. Benches and Lampposts are fixed at every viewpoint at the Mall. Colonial Style house kept reminding of the British architecture. Tourist can enjoy food and snacks at the various small and big restaurants on the both side of the mall.

Camel’s back road

A beautiful peaceful walk under the nature will always boost calmness and inner peace. Camel Back Road provides the same experience in Mussoorie. This 3 km long road is named as Camel Back Rd due to the presence of natural layout of rocks shaped like a camels hump at the end of road.

Kempty falls

Located on the way between Dehradun-Mussoorie roads, in the Ram Gaon area of Tehri Garhwal, Kempty Falls is one the most popular tourist attraction and picnic spot in Mussoorie. Surrounded by high mountain cliffs, Kempty Falls is nestled at an altitude of around 4500 ft above the sea level. The pond formed at the bottom of the falls makes an excellent spot for swimming and bathing. It Stretches to a distance of 18km and takes 40min drive to reach.

Shedup Choephelling Buddhist Temple

Being the first established Monastery in India by His Holiness The Dalai Lama. It is a beautiful designed structure covering the most amazing landscape one can wish for. Its history goes in April 1959, after the fleeing from the Chinese authority came down to the Birla House in Mussoorie and formed the Tibetan Government in exile here. The area is known as Happy Valley which is home to 07thousand Tibetans.

Company Garden

The Company Garden is a popular tourist attraction in Mussoorie, located around 3km from the main Mall Road. Nestled amidst the high Himalayas, the vibrant garden is a lovely place to spend an entire day out with your family and friends within the lush greenery and the beautiful blossoms. There is also an artificial pond for boating with manmade waterfalls. Also known as Municipal Garden, it is maintained by the Garden Welfare Association of Mussoorie and was laid down by Dr H. Fackner in the early years of this millennium. If you have kids with you, they will also have a gala time in the park with all the exciting rides and so much space to run around.

George Everest Hike

Short hike, stunning view from the top of the peak is spectacular. The surrounding area and the jungles views around are fantastic. Sunrise and sunset are breathtaking from the submit. Colorful prayer flags add to its beauty. A place for the photography, birding and relaxation in nature great for all age group for easy relax gateway. The route used for this hike is a mix of beautifully nature trail mountain “zig- zags” and a lovely stone paved path that has ample tree cover on both sides which make it both interesting & amazing.

Gunhill

A historical and second highest peak of Mussoorie, Gun Hill is favourite place for viewing picturesque Himalayan range and Doon Valley. A popular view point of Mussoorie, Gun Point is located at 400 ft above The Mall and accessible by a cable car as well. Gun point now has a water reservoir of the Mussorrie city but during Pre-independence days, there was gun mounted of this Top. That Gun used to fired at mid-day to enable people to adjust their watches.

Lal Tibba

Lal Tibba is the highest peak's topmost point and most famous place in Mussoorie. Popular among tourists and travellers for viewing long trails of major mountain peaks as well as romantic sunset and sunrise, Lal Tibba is located at Depot Hill in Landour. One can take close look at the peaks like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Banderpunch etc with telescope which was installed long back in 1967 by the municipality.

Sister’s Bazaar

Sisters Bazaar is one of the known market places of Mussoorie. The place derives its name from the nuns, who worked in the British dormitory as nurses. Though it is called a bazaar, the place is more of a residential colony with several old cottages and shops along its roads. Visitors should definitely pay a visit to the confectionary shops here for yummy stuff

Clouds End

Surrounded by the Oak and Deodar forest, Clouds End is landmark to the geographical end of Mussoorie. Located at around 7 kms from main Mussoorie city, Clouds End is known for pleasant scenic views of hills with enjoyable climate. A heritage building built by some British in 1838 is also an attraction at Clouds End.

Jharipani Fall

The cascading Jharipani Falls is located on Mussoorie-Jharipani road about 9 km from Mussoorie. From here one needs to cover a favourable distance of 1.5 km either by bus, car or on foot to reach the waterfall. The enchanting Jharipani Falls offers a picturesque view of the Shivalik Range.

Mossy Falls

Mossy Falls is a well-kept secret of the hill town of Mussoorie. Located at a distance of 7 kms from the main city on the Bala Hisar Road, Mossy Falls is named after the moss-laden rocks surrounding the gushing waterfalls. The mesmerising cascade offers a sight of absolute euphoria as it is hidden away from the conventional chaos and din of the city. The highlight is a Shivalinga hidden near the fall, which is drenched by the continously flowing water, creating a surreal site.

Bhatta Fall

Bhatta Falls is a recently developed picnic spot near Mussoorie. Located at about 7 kms from main Mussoorie city, Bhatta Falls is still untouched by commercialization and has natural stream of water flowing down the hills.
